Reaching the Gold-class tier

700 Status Credits (Status Credits) within a membership year. ≥4 Qantas/Jetstar flight sectors per year. 300 SC+ attainable from ground earning from Dec 2026 (Qantas Points spend). Thresholds use this programme's own currency and are not directly comparable with other programmes.

How hard is it?

Hard in Australia but doable from SG: SIN–PER/SYD QF sectors carry ~100–160 SC each; Gold ≈ 5–7 premium-economy SIN–SYD returns. Ground earning makes it easier from 2027 but isn't enough alone.

Good to know

  • From 8 Dec 2026: earn up to 140 Status Credits/year on the ground (cards, retail, utilities)
  • From 2027: single SC target per tier (Gold 700, Platinum 1,400 — no lower retain number)
  • Points Club + Green Tier retired 8 Dec 2026
